I have a ton of bacon cane leftover so I made a bacon plate.
This is going along with my donut/breakfast plate commission as a little extra surprise, since his wife mentioned they loved bacon. :) It’ll be made into a key chain.(via littletinythings)

So it was recently my birthday. For my cake, I used Martha Stewarts swiss meringue butter cream frosting recipe, and I just loved it. The idea with this frosting is to make a light, fluffy starting point, then add butter to give it weight and creaminess. If you have the Martha Stewart Baking Handbook, which this recipe is from, it says you can store this frosting for 3 days in the fridge. I must say, the frosting was much better fresh than after storage. I would use it fresh.
